Milestones in the School’s history
How Kibeida International Schools became one of the top or leading schools in the field of English medium schools in Sudan.
Since establishment, KIS has always sought to achieve academic excellence through recruiting teachers whom are committed to engage and inspire their students, build and implement a widely accepted international curriculum and develop the whole student.
Over the years, the School achievements have been unprecedented:
- for the past 10 years plus, the School is considered as the top IGCSE school in Sudan
- for the past 5 years plus, the School has repeatedly been the top international school and second overall top school in the Sudanese Basic Certificate national examinations for Khartoum State.
Milestones in the School’s history
- 1994:
- The School was founded by Engineer Mohamed Abdelrahman Kibeida as an IGCSE Centre under the name of Kibeida Preparatory College.
- 1997:
- The school was upgraded to a proper international secondary school for IGCSE.
- 2002:
- The School’s first branch was opened in Omdurman as to become the core of the establishment.
- 2005:
- Khartoum Branch opened to house a Preschool, Primary and High School sections
- 2011:
- KIS acquires its first fully owned purposely-built campus in Erkaweet, Khartoum.
- 2012:
- Opening of Port Sudan’s Branch, our third branch.
- 2016:
- Re-opening our second fully owned new purposely-built campus in Omdurman.
- 2019:
- The school is awarded Cambridge International School and Associate Centre (SD034) status.
- The school celebrates its Silver Jubilee and Alumni Reunion (25 years since establishment).
